Andrew Burton, General Manager, SSC said: Weve reduced the time it takes for product design to prototyping from 6-9 months to just over 8 weeks with the help that Concurrent Engineering has given us in the successful implementation and use of the Creo 3D product design tool.
It turns out that reducing product design time by 80% is not the only business benefit. Burton continued: Weve also seen an 15% reduction in material waste during production, this has increased sales because we can manufacture more efficiently and be confident about delivering to customer demands.

As a result turnover has risen 30% year-on-year and will nearly double in 2015. And we can say this with confidence. We have built-in product design agility and design reuse efficiencies. This gives us clear competitive advantage, which in turn results in a more predictable sales pipeline and better visibility for planning. We are now on 6 month forecasting.
75% of SSC £1.8m turnover in 2014 will be from exports backed up by large contracts in the UK with utility companies.
