Creo 3.0 - the latest release of PTC's breakthrough CAD technology is here. It's been described as a "game changer" by the CAD press. PTC's focus has been to break down the barriers manufacturers face when working with partners or customers who might not be using the same CAD tool. The challenge of working with lots of different data types can lengthen the design cycle and in turn push out production and delivery lead times.

Modern manufacturers demand technology that allows their engineers to be agile, flexible and efficient and PTC have certainly delivered with Creo 3.0.

Key highlights of the new release are:

  • Multi-CAD Interoperability - Collaborate more effectively with your customers and design partners by opening, importing and updating from any of the common CAD platforms (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Inventor, Sold Edge) and save back in the native format.
  • Concept Design - create more aesthetically pleasing products fast without having to spend weeks learning complicated surfacing methods.
  • Improved Productivity - an easy to use, streamlined interface with integrated learning and help tools to get engineers productive fast.
If you would like to see the software in action, Concurrent Engineering are running a free launch event at their Solihull base on the afternoon of July 2nd to showcase how this innovative software can help manufacturers design better products faster and cheaper. You can register for the event here. Alternatively their Midlands representative Lee Edmunds can be contacted on 07872 470293.
