PTC Creo 3.0 is now here!

The official product launch includes an impressive range of new features and functions - too many to list here! And with so many new enhancements announced, it can be hard to know which are the most impressive. To help, here are the top three things that all engineers need to know about PTC Creo 3.0

1. Multi-CAD is now a reality

A major development, as part of the Creo 3.0 release, was the announcement of Unite Technology. This will help companies who face the challenges of working in a multi-CAD environment to overcome the problems typically associated with this. As part of the introduction of Unite Technology, users of PTC Creo 3.0 will be able to open and import non-native Creo files. Plus, engineers will be able to do this without having to use a neutral file format.

This update will also enable engineers to save Creo data in other CAD file formats.

2. Improved analysis tools

Much of the improvements that have been made to PTC Creo 3.0 have been driven by end user demands - especially when it comes to the enhancements made to the analysis tools. The graphical display of draft analysis is now better than ever before. Plus there are new tools that have been included, enabling you to check curve and surface continuity. On top of this, PTC Creo 3.0 enables engineers to complete mold simulations and 3D thickness check on plastic part designs.

3. Free license of Mathcad Express included in all Creo Parametric 3.0

To help you get more out of your engineering calculations, all seats of Creo Parametric 3.0 will include a free license of Mathcad Express.
